Active Voice
जब वाक्य में कत्र्ता(किसी काम को करने वाला) प्रधान हो, या वाक्य में कत्र्ता को महत्व दिया जाये तो उसे active voice कहते हैं। active voice में कत्र्ता को क्रिया से पहले रखा जाता है।
सीमा बर्तन धोती है।
Seema washes the dishes.
Passive Voice
जब वाक्य में कर्म(जिस पर कार्य का प्रभाव पड़ता है) मुख्य हो, या वाक्य में कर्म को महत्व दिया जाये तो उसे passive voice कहते हैं। बर्तन सीमा के द्वारा धोये जाते हैं।
The dishes are washed by seema.
Passive voice का प्रयोग तब किया जाता है जब वाक्य में कर्म आवश्यक हो।
जैसे - बर्तन धोना आवश्यक है, किसने धोये यह बात महत्वपुर्ण नहीं है।
या जब हम यह नहीं बताना चाहते कि यह कार्य किसने किया हम passive voice का प्रयोग करते हैं।
तथ्य
Active से passive में बदलते समय कभी भी वाक्य का Tense नहीं बदलेगा। यदि कोई वाक्य simple present का है तो passive voice भी simple present में ही रहेगा।
Passive voice में main Verb की 3rd form का प्रयोग करते हैं।
Continuous tense में is/am/are/was/were के बाद being का प्रयोग करते हैं।
perfect tense में has/have/had/will have के बाद been का प्रयोग करते हैं।
Active से passive voice बनाने के लिए subject को object बनाया जाता है। तथा object को subject।

सामान्यतः active voice के subject का object बनता है। उसके साथ by का प्रयोग किया जाता है।
कुछ verb ऐसी हैं जिनके साथ by के स्थान पर preposition का प्रयोग किया जाता है।
साधारणतः transitive verb का ही passive voice बनता है।
Transitive verb - वह verb जिसका प्रभाव कर्म(Object) पर पड़ता है।
जैसे - राम खाना खाता है।

Simple Present
(A)mohan cleans the house daily.
(P)The house is cleaned by mohan daily.
Present Continuous
(A)sheena is writing the letter.
(P)the letter is being written by sheena.
Present Perfect
(A)She has seen the zoom.
(P)The zoo has been seen by her.
Past simple(indefinite)
(A)Vikram repaired The car.
(P)The car was repaired by vikram.
Past Continuous
(A)Sonu was designing some dresses.
(P)Some dresses were being designed by sonu.
Past perfect
(A)Ram had written many books before he passed his college.
(P)many books had been written by ram before he passed his college.
Simple Future(indefinite)
(A)Roja will finish the work by 6:00 PM.
(P)The work will be finished by Roja by 6:00 PM.
Future Continuous
(A)At 9 o'clock, Mohan will be washing the clothes.
(P)At 9 o'clock, The clothes will be being washed by mohan.
Future perfect
(A)They will have completed the project before the deadline.
(P)The project will have been completed before the deadline.
Passive Voice of W-Family
W-family(WHO, WHOM,WHAT,WHICH,WHEN,WHY,WHERE) सामान्यतः यह वाक्य के शुरू( Active व Passive दोनों के) में लगते हैं।
W-family वाले वाक्यों को passive voice में बदलने के लिए पुरे वाक्य को w-family शब्द से अलग करें।
What are you doing ?
Are you doing ?(present continuous)
अब बचा हुआ वाक्य एक साधारण वाक्य है इसे उस वाक्य के Tense के अनुसार passive voice में बदल लें।
Is being done by you ?
अन्त में w-family वाक्य को उस वाक्य के आगे जोड़े दें।
What is being done by you ?
w-family के शब्द passive में अपरिवर्तित रहते हैं केवल who जो by whom मे बदल जाता है और whom जो who में बदल जाता है।
Who broke the chair.
By whom was the chair broken.
Imperative Sentences
वह वाक्य जिसमें आदेश , उपदेश, प्रार्थना, इच्छा व्यक्त की गई हो, imperative वाक्य कहलाते हैं।
इनमें subject नहीं होता ये main verb से शुरू होते हैं।
Imperative वाक्यों में भाव होते हैं अतः passive voice बनाते समय सामने वाले के भाव का ध्यान रखना होता है।

यहां पर माता पिता की आज्ञा मानने के लिए समझाया जा रहा है। उसे command या order नहीं दि जा सकती।
उसे तंग मत करो।
Don't disturb him.
You are requested not to disturb him.
Models Sentences
Models एक प्रकार से विशेष सहायक क्रिया होती है जो क्रिया के भाव को व्यक्त करती है।
जैसे - किसी व्यक्ति की काम करने की सामथ्र्यता, संभावना, आवश्यकता।
Models में कर्ता के एक वचन या बहुवचन से काई प्रभाव नहीं पड़ता।
Models - Can, Could, May, Might, will, Would, Shall, Should, Must, Ought to.
वह मेरा कम्प्यूटर प्रयोग कर सकती है।
(A)She may use my computer.
(P) My computer may be used by her.
(A)She should not reject vikram's proposal.
(P)Vikram's proposal should not be rejected.
तुम्हें अपने माता पिता का कहना मानना चाहिए।
(A)You ought to obey your parents.
(P)your parents ought to be obeyed by you.
